We’re looking for an experienced and safety focused Switching Operator to support complex switching activities across our network. If you thrive in a hands on, high responsibility role and enjoy working both in the field and in detailed planning environments, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a critical part of our operations.

About the Role
As a Switching Operator, you’ll take ownership of end to end switching operations—preparing, reviewing, and executing switching schedules as well as carrying out field switching on live networks.

Key Responsibilities
•    Preparing, reviewing and executing accurate switching schedules
•    Performing complex field switching in line with approved procedures
•    Working collaboratively as a key member of the switching team
•    Ensuring compliance with Ventia’s requirements (Vector and WEL network standards) and all relevant performance measures
•    Providing exceptional customer service while meeting HSQE expectations
•    Identifying improvements and contributing to enhanced switching processes

About you
•    Strong focus on safety and quality
•    Experience in switching operations or a related field
•    Excellent teamwork and communication skills
•    Ability to work accurately under pressure and in dynamic environments
•    Commitment to continuous improvement
