AA Driver Training covers the driving education and preparation for each licence stage provided by the AA and includes professional driving lessons, defensive driving courses, licence test preparation, and coaching for drivers at all stages—from learners to experienced drivers.  We now have an opportunity for a Talent and Network Growth Specialist to join the AA Driver Training team! 

About the role | Mō te tūranga 

 
As a Talent and Network Growth Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and growing AA Driver Training’s national network of independent driving instructors and facilitators. You’ll own the full lifecycle of sourcing, recruitment, onboarding, and contracting, working closely with the Field Relationship Manager and the wider Mobility team. Your focus will be on using market insights, commercial awareness, and strong relationship-building skills to help AA Driver Training attract, support, and retain high-quality contractors who deliver great learning experiences at scale. 

In this role, you’ll design smart attraction strategies, manage end-to-end recruitment, and deliver a smooth, supportive onboarding experience for new instructors and facilitators. You’ll keep processes running seamlessly—tracking candidates, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility throughout. 

You’ll build strong relationships with prospective and newly onboarded contractors, proactively answering queries and creating a connected experience. You’ll also analyse recruitment metrics to drive continuous improvement and support workforce planning. 

On the contract side, you’ll prepare and manage agreements across their full lifecycle, act as the main point of contact for contract matters, and look for ways to streamline and enhance the contractor experience. 

You’ll also provide market insights, support product development, and collaborate across the AA to champion new initiatives and strengthen cross team partnerships. 

What you’ll bring | Mōu 

 
You’ll bring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll have proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, and ideally have had exposure to contract or franchisee engagement. You’ll be comfortable with technology, including MS Office and preferably Salesforce, and have a good understanding of the New Zealand business environment. A passion for road safety and supporting young drivers, a high level of resilience, and a willingness to learn and be mentored are all important. You’ll also need a full NZ driver’s licence and the flexibility to work varied hours when needed.
