Job Description - Tamaiti Healthy Homes Service Lead

THH Service Lead

Full time – 40 hours per week
Ōtautahi | Christchurch

Join a kaupapa-driven partnership making real impact for whānau across Ōtautahi.

Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust, in partnership with Tangata Atumotu Trust, is seeking a dynamic leader to guide our Tamaiti Healthy Homes (THH) service.

THH is a collaborative Māori and Pasifika-led initiative focused on improving the warmth, dryness, and safety of homes—supporting tamariki and whānau to thrive. This role leads our THH team across both Trusts, strengthening a kaupapa that directly addresses and transforms home environments for Māori and Pasifika communities.

As the THH Service Lead, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery, development, and continuous improvement of the THH service.

  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders including MSD, Kāinga Ora, EECA, MBIE, health providers, and community partners.

  • Ensure reporting, data integrity, and programme requirements are met to a high standard.

  • Champion the connection between housing quality and whānau wellbeing.

  • Uphold tikanga, Te Ao Māori values, and Pasifika principles within all aspects of the service.

We Are Looking for Someone Who Has:

  • Leadership experience, ideally in kaupapa Māori or Pasifika-centred settings.

  • A deep understanding of Māori and/or Pasifika communities.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Confidence working with data, reporting systems, and service improvement processes.

  • A collaborative, adaptable approach and commitment to empowering whānau.

Why Join Us?

Working within this unique partnership means being part of a kaupapa that is grounded in whanaungatanga, mana-enhancing practice, and collective impact.

If you’re passionate about whānau wellbeing and enjoy meaningful, varied mahi in a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note, only applications submitted via our website will be considered. Please go to https://tepuawaitanga.maori.nz/job-opportunities  to complete the online application form and provide a cover letter detailing your skills and relevant experience as well as an up-to-date CV. Applications close Tuesday 10 March 2026.
