Tamariki Ora Nurse [Well Child]

We are seeking a Tamariki Ora Nurse to work with whanau in the Papakura/Franklin region. If you are a qualified Well Child nurse, or a registered nurse with a passion for the wellbeing of tamariki, we want to hear from you!

Tamariki Ora Wellchild services focuses on the wellbeing and development of children from 0-5 years old. Our team are responsible for establishing strong, positive relationships with whanau, providing the best of care underpinned with manaakitanga and aroha. You will provide clinical and whanau-centered support for whanau, to prevent health inequities, and ensure the best level of care for tamariki and their families. 

About Papakura Marae 

We are a multidisciplinary organisation working across different sectors to improve the wellbeing of whanau in our community. We have over 80 staff and 45+ services that range from health, social services, wellbeing and general support. What aligns and binds our organisation together is manaakitanga i nga wa katoa – unconditional care and support for whanau.

About the role 

We are looking for a registered nurse for our Tamariki Ora – Wellchild service. The role is focused on engaging with whanau to deliver monitoring, screening and assessment of pepi and tamariki in the Papakura/Franklin community. Tamariki Ora is aligned with Plunket services, and operate uniquely. 

You will deliver services to whanau that are focused on the wellbeing of the child, to ensure the best start in life.

We have a fabulous team that is supportive, coordinated, and passionate about the wellbeing of tamariki.  You will be well supported and welcomed to our Marae whanau, with excellent wraparound care for staff. The work can offer good flexibility, excellent work-life balance and satisfaction. 

If you are a qualified Tamariki Ora nurse, we want to hear from you. If you are a registered nurse but are not qualified in Tamariki Ora and are keen to train, we still wish to hear from you!
