Job Description - Tax Manager

The opportunity:

    • As a Tax Manager, you’ll be part of a high-performing team that delivers specialist tax services with integrity, courage, and excellence. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact—both for our clients and your career.

Day to day you will:

    • Lead client engagements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of tax solutions.
    • Stay ahead of legislative changes, case law, and Inland Revenue rulings to identify strategic tax planning opportunities.
    • Provide mentorship and performance development for junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and wellbeing.
    • Build and manage trusted client relationships, offering commercially sound advice across a range of industries.
    • Contribute to business development initiatives and represent KPMG in the market to create new opportunities.
    • Apply your analytical skills to solve complex tax challenges, including those involving cross-border transactions and pricing strategies.

What you'll bring to our team:

    • Proven experience managing tax engagements and delivering high-quality client service.
    • Strong understanding of New Zealand tax legislation and commercial acumen.
    • Demonstrated leadership in coaching and developing junior staff.
    • Experience or exposure to Transfer Pricing principles and their application in advisory contexts is advantageous.
    • A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
