Te Ara Kaupare Youth Forensic Services – Midlands
Registered Clinicians including Social Workers, Nurses, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and AOD Clinicians
We are a busy and proactive team working alongside rangatahi and their whanau to make meaningful differences in their lives and communities. Based in Hamilton, you will work in a wide variety of settings and with rangatahi, their whaanau, Police, Youth Advocates as well as other health and social service agencies to identify and address factors which contribute to youth offending.
If you are a New Zealand Registered Clinician (Social Worker, Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, AOD Clinician) and are interested in working with rangatahi | youth who have complex social and mental health needs this may be the opportunity for you.
This role requires outstanding communication skills, as well as a supportive, respectful, and conscientious manner. With an understanding of the challenges faced by people with lived experience, the successful candidate will ideally possess the following skills and abilities:

We are the only Kaupapa Maaori NGO service working in Youth Forensics in New Zealand. We believe having a diverse workforce allows us to best support individuals and their whanau. The ability to speak Te Reo Maaori is not a prerequisite. However, if you have a desire to understand and support Tikanga Maaori and are open to learning, this role will offer you an opportunity to grow within a Kaupapa Maaori environment.
To be considered for this position you must have a legal right to live and work in New Zealand. Working in close contact with vulnerable individuals requires special considerations.
