Teacher Aide/Youth Worker Position
Are you passionate about making a change for at risk young people aged 8-15 years?
Westbridge Residential School is a trauma informed school, strongly focused on ‘Positive Behaviour for Learning’ (PB4L). The school operates a 24-7 curriculum that is delivered in a culture of care with a strong focus on Restorative Practices.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We are currently seeking a Teacher Aide/Youth Worker to join our team. A clear police will be a condition of employment.
Applicants will need to:
Required Skills:
· A passion for supporting young people to be the best that they can be.
· Successful experience working with students who have a Conduct Disorder
and/or behavioural difficulties.
· The ability to inspire, motivate and work in a team environment.
· The ability to contribute to programmes focused on social skills development
and EOTC activities.
· Strong administrative skills including good time management.
This is a permanent position, the position is for 5 days per week, daytime hours, term time only, with some call back days in the school holidays for professional development.
You will need:
· Clear police vetting check.
· To be a NZ Citizen or Resident or have a valid NZ work permit.
· A full driver's license is desirable.
