Kohala Adventist School is a hidden treasure for Christian Education on the northernmost point of the Big Island. The school was founded in the 1970s, and the Lord has blessed it in miraculous ways, including providing teachers, students, and church families. The school presently has all non-Adventist students who are dedicated to receiving a Christian education and are very supportive, with many of them having a home-schooled background. The campus is well-kept and has had recent renovations outside and inside as well. The Lord may call you to serve in this unique and special setting; we pray for doors to open.

Required Experience

Kohala Adventist School is seeking a Teaching Principal who is passionate about Adventist education and can balance the demands of being a full-time teacher and administrator of a growing K-8 program. Applicants must have denominational certification and experience in multi-grade teaching. Candidates need the ability to select age-appropriate instructional strategies, sound teaching methods, good communication, consistent planning and follow-through, and a positive team spirit. Effective communication skills are necessary. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with administrative experience and a history of building the school community.
