Joinus as a Team Coach to lead our Youth House service, which provides mental health support to young people as theybuild confidence, resilience and wellbeing so they can thrive. Youth House is abeautiful home that can house up to 4 youth. We have a great vibe in thehouse and connect around the great kitchen/dining communal space, there is alsoan abundance of activities for youth to engage in: pool table, ping pong,sewing, biking or the more relaxed sensory room. This is an active andengaged leadership opportunity to grow and thrive.

AsTeam Coach, you’ll have frontline leadership experience and use this to inspire,guide and encourage your team of youth workers to excel in what they do.

You’llalso be a health professional with a current registration who ideally hasexperience working in the mental health industry. This could be a nurse, socialworker or an occupational therapist. An understandingof the primary health sector would be an advantage.

You’llhave general abilities to make a real difference in peoples lives and will workalongside a number of stakeholders across primary health and the NGO, allworking to produce great outcomes for taiohi.

You’llalso:

• Bepart of a leadership team, attend regular meetings and Team Coachprofessional development session
• Contributeto a National rostered after-hours service on a rotating basis.

This isa permanent full-time role, working Monday-Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm, in Nelson.

You |Mōu
The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth. You’ll also have experience in the mentalhealth industry, and ideally have management and leadership knowledge, with provenability to inspire and lead a team.

You willhave;

• A tertiary health qualification in social work, occupational therapy or nursing and registration with professional body.
• A current full New Zealand driver’s licence
• Understand and applies the principles of wellness and recovery
• Acurrent New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one
• Ideally,you’ll have knowledge of the Health and Social Services sectors
• Knowledgeof, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
