The role

We are looking to bring on a dynamic Team Leader to our Asset Management team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing operations and providing technical guidance to the team. You’ll lead the delivery of various contracts, ensuring customer requirements are met, and projects are delivered successfully through all project lifecycle phases. Additionally, you’ll provide authentic leadership to a team of asset, facilities and project managers, fostering a high-performing culture focused on value creation. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The role includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Assist in delivering the asset management organisational strategy, cultivating an effective and high-performing team. 
  • Implement the business strategy while ensuring regulatory compliance and successful client relationship management. 
  • Establish and maintain an effective Project Governance structure, including standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee and be accountable for the successful delivery of contracts. 
  • Monitor and coordinate contracts to deliver a profitable program.
  • Provide technical support, from preparing proposals or tenders to procurement and delivery.  
  • Provide guidance to scope projects, driving innovation to solve client problems. 
  • Implement a risk-based delivery approach to ensure profitability – assessing and managing risks to maximise benefits and minimise losses. 
  • Write and negotiate professional services and construction contracts, implementing effective project controls for resource and cost management.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Preferably with a background in building surveying or architecture.
  • Strong technical knowledge of built environment regulations, laws, and standards. 
  • Proven expertise in managing built environment contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of leading high-performing teams and making strategic decisions. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and client relationship management. 
  • Understanding of commercial and financial principles in built environment contracts, including procurement, contract management, and financial control.
