The Opportunity:

This is a full-time, permanent role based at Albany on the North Shore in Auckland. Hours of work are varied and likely to be Monday through Friday between the hours of 6am and 4.30pm. Overtime is occasional. The hourly rate of pay will depend on your skills and experience. 

The Dimensions of this Role Include:

• The Technical Assistant is required to work at our the Die Bench where each of our nine (9) Extrusion Lines are periodically stripped and cleaned. There is a limited amount of time for each of these lines to undergo this process, normally around three (3) weeks. The Technical Assistant’s role will be to: primarily assist with the removal of the die from each line, removal of the adaptors and screen changers, removal of the screw from the extruders, cleaning the screw and barrel, measuring the screw and barrel, and recording the results, then cleaning screen changers and finally reassembling all of the cleaned components.
• Providing effective customer service through interaction with both internal and external customers and work colleagues.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
• Highlighting predictive maintenance opportunities.
• Complying with Amcor and Work Safe NZ practices.
• Assist with any other duties as required by Maintenance Supervisor.
