Job Description - Technical Customer Service

We are a busy National Distributor of Premium Tools and equipment, and we are seeking an outstanding candidate to fill the role of Technical Support.


This is a varied and challenging role overseeing various technical aspects of our business for a mechanically minded person:

  • Providing administrative, warranty and technical support to the in-house Service Department, Customer Service Team, and External Sales Team
  • Supporting a Network of external Service Agents with technical queries, Warranty Claims, and ordering of spare parts
  • Supporting our in-house Technician with fault finding, testing, and product repairs
  • Front of House contact for Service Department walk-in customers
  • Accurately documenting repairs/complete job sheets and various internal communications such as parts management/requests
  • Working with the Product Manager in preparation for new product launches, providing guidance on spare parts requirements and repair procedures
  • Overseeing the completion of repairs to the required standard within the designated time period
  • Liaising with overseas suppliers on technical matters 
  • Assisting in workshop maintenance to ensure a clean and safe environment

 

The successful candidate will have a high level of communication skill in English, both verbally and in written form, and have the ability to patiently and simply explain technical matters to non- technical stakeholders.

 

Experience in fault finding, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with mechanical or electrical equipment will be a strong advantage.

 

Candidates must have the proven ability to navigate their way through online based portals for the purposes of accessing Service Manuals, Parts Lists, Claim Forms etc. and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

 

We offer a competitive Salary, with additional monthly Bonus for achieving KPI’s and generous staff buying privileges.

 

Based in Albany, Auckland. Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

  • A Positive attitude and willingness to further develop your personal skills and knowledge, onsite training will be provided.  
  • NZ Citizenship, Permanent residency, or completed Work Visa 
  • A passion for ongoing improvement and growth
