Technical Machine Specialist - Opportunity to Make a Difference

As a business, we are in an exciting growth phase and are looking for a Technical Machine Specialist to join the Brandt Product Support team.

This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to Brandt Service Departments to solve customer machine issues.  The ideal candidate will be a Heavy-Duty Technician by trade and have experience with machine troubleshooting.  They will have a high level of computer skills and good communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking a proactive approach to repairs and lifecycle planning by utilizing the latest technologies and available equipment data to provide recommendations that allow our technicians to repair machines faster and more efficiently. This position is a key liaison with Brandt technicians and engineers at John Deere.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage technical assistance requests from Brandt Service Departments using Case Contact Management System (CCMS) software.
• Develop Brandt Technical Assistance Center (BTAC) Technical Solutions by
• Identifies emerging issues in the field that can generate additional revenue.
• Develops repair procedures for emerging issues, product improvements and warranty work to increase technician efficiencies and increase revenue. 
• Identifies Relife and sales opportunities.
• Creates and maintains the Technical Solution database.
• Utilize John Deere Service Advisor Remote

• Monitor alerts received from machines through various software platforms.
• Works closely with Machine Monitoring, Brandt Service times and Proactive Maintenance teams to address equipment abnormalities, quote more efficiently and drive revenue opportunities.
• Effectively communicate the appropriate actions to the Service Departments via telephone, e-mail or ticketing system
• Follow up on previous recommendations to ensure problem resolution and identify learning opportunities.
• Provide coverage during peak times for Machine Monitoring Specialists
• Other duties may be assigned.

Position Requirement:

• Red seal heavy duty technician certificate or equivalent work experience in the industry
• Minimum 5 years service experience recommended.
• Strong background in computer applications and analytics
• Knowledge of Agriculture equipment & dealership service departments
• Ability to filter and correlate the different data source to create an accurate recommendation.
• Knowledge of machine application, design, functionality and understanding the environmental effect on the equipment performance
• Understand effective inspection process and equipment lifecycle planning.
• Travel may be required.
