Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As Technical Operations Advisor you will support the Real Time Transport Operations teams by ensuring operational systems and procedures are fit for purpose, maintained and optimised. A key focus is analysis of events in collaboration with teams, internal and external to the organisation, to identify trends and potential improvements areas of processes and tools.
You will be accountable for ensuring events and how they occurred are well understood and communicated so that lessons can be identified and learned. Success in this role means network performance is a focus and you collaborate with the existing teams as required. Your focus on quality and accuracy will be critical to ensuring levels of service are met and enhanced where possible.

Ko koe tēnei | About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A minimum of 3 - 5 years working in a technical operations role, preferably with some road transport experience
Well-developed workload prioritisation skills
An ability to clearly communicate simple and complex processes and tasks
Experience in a complex technical operational environment
Knowledge and working experience with applied statistics, and data analysis (preferred)
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
The ability to build relationships, both internally and externally is essential.
A passion in customer services and the ability to understand customer needs especially in the transport area is desirable.
A good understanding of New Zealand road and highway network and geography is desirable.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain both NZ Police and Ministry of Justice Security vetting
As WTOC operates 24/7, this role may occasionally require work to be taken outside of regular business hours.
This is a great opportunity for someone with natural relationship building skills who can effectively communicate across different teams.
