About the Role You will be joining a highly regarded leader in the welding industry, who provides specialist and innovative products and solutions to their valued client base.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for increasing the market share of their products primarily within the Auckland region, through new business development and account management of existing clients. We are looking for a confident, high-energy professional who has a hunger for success, is not afraid to hunt for new leads and who loves the thrill of a new sale as much as growing great client relationships. This will be an autonomous role, which will see you planning and managing your Territory for the desired results.

Duties: - Demonstrate products to customers with the specific aim of selling those products
- Provide customers and clients with information, prices, and quotations
- Provide Technical Support and advice to customers and staff
- Ensure Customers are invoiced correctly and that all sales/payment terms and deposits are organized
- Maintain Demonstration and Rental Equipment and arrange Machine Rental Agreements
- Develop and implement customer call and visit cycles
- Achieve set monthly/quarterly sales targets and budgets
- Provide weekly and monthly sales activity reporting to management
Skills and Experience: - Previous experience in a Technical Sales/BDM role within Engineering or a related
- Knowledge of Welding Machines and welding consumables
- High level of computer skills including MYOB an advantage
- Have a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales and profit targets
- Enjoy nurturing long-term customer relationships
- Have a strong ability to think strategically, be innovative and pivot according to new challenges
- Be able to plan and manage your appointments and schedules
- Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Professional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Current Clean Driver’s Licence
