TONIQ is a nationwide supplier of healthcare technology, and we've been providing software solutions to the health sector for over 20 years. We proudly develop and support software that is used in 85% Pharmacies across New Zealand and also a range of other healthcare providers.

With 30 years of experience, MBS is one of the leading, most experienced and established billing software providers for anesthetists in Australia.

What you’ll be doing

Our team is the first point of contact for all Toniq clients throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, and MBS customers in Australia. We are here to ensure Toniq and MBS customers receive a high level of service from our Technical Support Specialists.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you’ll be responsible for handling all customer interactions; solving problems, providing guidance and application support.

We connect and build relationships to bring the same level of energy and focus to every interaction we have, via phone, email, chat or remote connection. 

It’s a given you’ll love talking with and interacting with our customers as well as solving technical issues, some of which are solved using tried and documented methods and standard operating procedures and others which require problem solving techniques and your initiative.

About You

We’re interested in hearing from you if you have:

  • IT Technical Support/help desk environments experience
  • Prior knowledge of dispensing or retail systems
  • Problem solving skills
  • Self-driven desire to learn and grow
  • A propensity to work in team and support your colleagues
  • Curiosity to think outside the box when providing customer solutions 
  • Demonstrated ability to connect and build rapport with our customers
  • Excellent written skills, with a keen eye for detail  
  • Tertiary qualification and/or applicable work experience
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand (and residing in Christchurch)

We’re also looking for (but not essential): 

  • Pharmacy, anesthesiology or other health industry related experience
  • Windows desktop and server environments experience
  • Printer configuration, networking and internet connectivity knowledge 
  • Internal and Customer facing content creation experience
  • Working knowledge of:  Zendesk, Confluence, Jira, SQL
  • Experience using Toniq Dispensary, or Toniq Retail software
  • Experience with use of AI in a support function setting would be desirable

Initial technical and ongoing training is provided as an integral part of the role, and we'll work with you to ensure you have a robust development plan.
