About this role 

The Tenancy Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of Comcare tenancies, including Housing First properties and short- or long-term homes leased or owned by Comcare. You will build strong relationships with tenants and ensure all tenancy responsibilities are met while supporting wellbeing and long-term housing stability.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing all aspects of tenancy relationships including letting, rent monitoring, inspections, maintenance, and issue resolution.


• Using problem solving and sound judgement to support sustainable tenancies.


• Ensuring all practice complies with the Residential Tenancies Act and relevant legislation.


• Working in partnership with clients and whānau to provide culturally responsive support that reduces inequities.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will preferably have:

• Experienced in tenancy management with solid knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act.


• Confident communicator who delivers excellent service and handles conflict with ease.


• Strong problem solver who builds great relationships with tenants and stakeholders.


• Organised, proactive, and able to adapt in a busy environment.


• Full NZ driver’s licence.


• Mental health or social services experience.


• Culturally aware and committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Eligibility
