TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE:

As our Territory Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the growth of Sky's Commercial revenue base in your dedicated territory (Central North Island - South of Auckland to south of Taupo!). Acquisition-focused and sales-driven, we’re looking for a highly motivated go-getter who’s confident and not afraid to chat to everyone and anyone.

On the day-to-day, you’ll be out in the field talking to business owners of small pubs to patching deals together for big hotel groups, representing Sky, our products, and our values. You’ll identify new opportunities to grow our commercial business, ensure compliance from all existing commercial venues in your territory, and develop excellent relationships with all prospective and existing customers, all the while nurturing your own leads and owning your territory.

This is a HUGE, exciting opportunity for someone who has proven themselves in a B2B sales environment looking to pivot into representing a beloved Kiwi media brand!

KO NGĀ ARONGA I- THE KEY AREAS OF FOCUS WILL BE:

  • Hunting for new business for Sky to grow our commercial portfolio
  • Ensuring compliance in all commercial venues within your territory
  • Maintaining effective journey plans and daily reporting
  • Conducting maintenance programs for existing commercial clients
  • Staying updated with relevant training
  • Representing Sky at Hospitality, Industry, Trade, and Conference shows
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers, installation companies, associations, and third-party sales teams
  • Demonstrating an opportunistic and growth mindset, beliefs, and values

 

AND SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  • Year-on-year growth in revenue and customers across all venues in your territory
  • Meeting or exceeding budgets and targets
  • Happy customers in the market – measured through KPIs like NPS
  • Expanded customer base and market presence
  • Increased customer retention rates
  • Reduced commercial piracy in your territory

 

NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO I- WHAT YOU WILL BRING

On top of that, you’ll have…

  • Minimum of 3 years' successful sales experience
  • Experience selling in a Business-to-Business (B2B) environment
  • Experience selling to the Hospitality and Accommodation industry, business broadband, or subscription services (highly desirable)
  • Proven history of building long-term relationships
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate contracts
  • Competence in public speaking and presenting information
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated
  • Relevant university marketing or business degree (advantageous but not necessary)
