Trade Qualified Field Service Technician

Do you hold a New Zealand Trade Certificate in a maintenance engineering field? This includes Mechanical Engineering, Fitting and Turning, Toolmaker, Mechanical Fitter, Diesel, Marine, Automotive, Aeronautical, Heavy Electrical, or similar fields.

Our expertise spans a wide range of maintenance engineering, from machine refurbishment to precision laser alignment, dynamic balancing, vibration analysis, and rotating equipment mechanical services, such as bearing fitting, gearbox and pump refurbishment, fan servicing, electric motor overhaul, and specialist plant outage labour.

Daily tasks include:

• Grabbing a cup of coffee and attending the morning H&S toolbox meeting at the Hamilton workshop or on client sites
• Gearing up and traveling to sites, mostly within the greater Waikato area, Auckland, Taranaki, and Bay of Plenty, with some occasional South Island work
• Working independently or as part of a small team
• Servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting rotating equipment and plant
• Precision repair of mechanical components using selective brush plating techniques
• Some Hamilton workshop-based equipment servicing

• Enthusiasm and a willingness to help both clients and team members
• Great problem-solving ability
• Methodical and precise approach to plant maintenance
• Sound mechanical knowledge and the ability to produce accurate, quality results
• A sense of pride in delivering excellent work
