Job Description - Trade Services Manager

At CARTERS we are committed to excellence in everything we do, our history and dedication to quality have made us a market leader in the building trade industry and we are looking for a talented Trade Services Manager to join  CARTERS Rotorua to play a pivotal role to continue the legacy of our success.

  • Manage the daily operations within the timber yard, dispatch, and bulk store areas.
  • Coordinate the efficient flow of products and deliveries - ensuring all orders are promptly picked, assembled, loaded, and delivered efficiently.
  • Coordinate with delivery drivers and subcontractors to ensure smooth logistics and timely deliveries.
  • Oversee stock management.
  • Lead an inspire a team of dedicated individuals, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging growth.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to outstanding customer service and support and have the following skills and qualities:

  • Full NZ Drivers Licence is a MUST.
  • Forklift F Endorsed Licence with OSH Certificate
  • Physically fit
  • Someone who values teamwork and approaches tasks with a positive mindset.
  • Shows natural people skills, good at gaining trust and connecting with our valued customers and suppliers.
  • Exceptional communicator, adept at interacting across all organisational levels.
  • Capable in navigating computer systems with a firm grasp of technology.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience 
  • Building industry knowledge is beneficial.
