Trade Store Manager - Paint

The Role

Based in the Trade & Retail Store, in Central Christchurch and reporting directly to the National Sales Manager. This position is the first point of contact for all Trade customers and will also at times services the consumer and design markets. The main emphasis of the role is to lead the daily operations and drive sales forward for the Trade store. A team of 4, supporting an external Trade rep, as a hands-on proactive leader you will be dealing with customers via the phone and email, processing orders and dealing with general enquiries. 

You may at times visit customers on site, and you will undertake and implement Trade based promotional activity and sales. 

Responsibilities

• Order entry and queries via phone/email, along with pick, pack & process of orders - tinting of paint. 
• Coaching & Mentoring of a small sales team
• General office administrative duties to support the team, procurement & store operations
• Driving sales for the region from the store. 
• Support the Sales Representative as a cohesive unit

Skills & Experience

• Ideally you will come from within the Paint or Construction Sectors in a wholesale or retail environment.
• Leadership experience in a sales, retail or customer service environment is essential 
• Strong sales ability, customer service skills and resolution abilities.
• Proactive and positive can-do attitude
• A leader from the front mentality this is a hands-on leadership role
• You will need a Full Clean NZ Driver's License

• 40 hours per week, 7.40 - 4pm Mon to Friday, some flexibility around hours can be offered.
• $75,000.00 - $90,000.00, depending on experience.
