We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Specimen Services team as a Trainee/Medical Laboratory Technician. This is a permanent, part-time position of 60 hours per fortnight, 6hours per weekday (1.30pm – 8pm). A great opportunity to build your skills in a supportive, fast-paced laboratory environment.
As part of our 24/7 laboratory service, our department operates from 4:00 am to midnight. While most shifts will follow a regular roster, occasional evening shifts and weekend work will be required, perfect for someone who enjoys variety and being part of an essential healthcare service.

To succeed in this role you will need:
If you are not already registered with the Medical Science Council of New Zealand, we will support you working towards becoming a Qualified Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician within 2 years of employment.
If you do not yet have your registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand, we will also consider candidates who are in the process of becoming qualified.
