About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Triage Coordinator/Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. This dynamic role has two components: triaging and managing our referrals and providing assessment and evidence-based psychological therapies to clients/whānau of Tū Ora. Your work will focus on addressing specific mental health, AOD, and health education needs, always respecting individual differences in age, gender, religion, and culture.

To excel in this role, you'll need to:

• Be a qualified health professional with a current practicing certificate

• Have recent experience as a registered MH and/or AOD professional/counsellor, and experience working with young adults

• Demonstrate well-developed time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload effectively

• Possess a systems and process orientated mindset

• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

• Work collaboratively within a team and independently without direct supervision

• Show excellent interpersonal skills and experience in building therapeutic relationships

• Demonstrate the ability to practice from a bi-cultural and multi-cultural perspective, along with a commitment to and working knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles

• Be computer literate and adaptable to various delivery settings, ready to meet the changing needs of a mental health service model as opportunities arise.
