Triboard Mill Industrial Electrician

About Us:

Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is an international forest and wood products company operating in local and global timber markets.  JNL owns three wood processing plants in the North Island, and forests in the Wairarapa and East Coast regions.  We work closely with our parent company in Japan – WoodOne.

The two mills situated in Kaitaia are currently working a 5½ day / 24 hr operation processing Radiata Pine into reconstituted wood panels and peeled, dried veneer.

About the role:

We have a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced Electrician to work in our Triboard Mill in Kaitaia. This is a full time permanent day role working a minimum of 40 hours per week.  There will be an expectation to cover shifts day/night as required. 

Remuneration:

$46.997 - $48.439 per hour

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Calibrations of electrical systems and equipment


• Carrying out preventative maintenance work on electrical equipment


• Provide "front line" support to Production and Mechanical departments


• Attend breakdowns


• Overhaul various electrical equipment, including motors and motor controls.


• Diagnose electrical controls


• Trouble shooting for electrical systems


• Installations (COC & ESC )


• Interrogate the PLC systems to diagnose problems

To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes: 

• Full NZ Electrical Registration (EWRB) or proof of eligibility


• Currently residing in NZ


• Experience in electrical maintenance of industrial plants is advantageous


• Experience with 3 phase motors, motor protection, motor controls, industrial sensors and a wide range of industrial electrical and control equipment is advantageous


• Advantageous - experience with Variable Speed Drives, PLC control, basic instrumentation, encoders etc.


• Experience in CMMS. (Computer Maintenance Management Systems) would be advantageous
