Te Kāhui Maru Trust is looking for a Tumu Arataki - Pathways Coordinator for a regional Environmental Workforce Development Programme, Tupu ā nuku.
You will be joining a forward thinking team who are committed to creating opportunities in training and employment, working collaboratively for environmental outcomes in Taranaki and positively impacting the lives of our rangatahi.
The key parts of the role include:
Establishing and growing vital connections with schools, alternative education providers, wānanga and job seekers into training or employment
Building strong networks and links into employment to ensure Tupu ā nuku has the ability to connect participants into multiple opportunities.
Providing support and career navigation to rangatahi through all pathways from training to employment
Development of pathway events and workshops in schools and providing opportunity for work place experience within the environmental and conservation sectors
Provide reporting on outcomes and strategic planning for programme growth and funding
The position involves working within multiple work environments, including training facilities, various places of work and be available to support participants in their whanau environment (where applicable) or within other organisations or agencies.
We are looking first and foremost for someone who is inspired by the opportunity and has the vision and drive to make it happen. We are also looking for;
Experience in youth or social work, education, employment brokerage or relevant life experience
Experience in implementation of projects or programmes and ability to deliver day to day outcomes and reporting requirements
Outstanding communication skills and able to build strong relationships and connections
Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred but not essential
Understanding and knowledge of Taranaki Reo me oōa Tikanga and knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
