Visitor Information Centre Host

Your key role is to be here to meet and greet visitors and support staff and the Centre manager in a variety of tasks, retail and promotional activitiies. Some computer knowledge would be good but is not essential. You need to have a good standard of conversational and written English. It would be good if you are a people's person and love to meet people from New Zealand and around the world and share your experiences and travel with them. Someone who is organised and reliable would be good for this role. You need to be trustworthy and be able to work with a high level of confidentiality. We can offer lots of laughs, interesting visitors from all over NZ and the world, a boss with a passion for people and NZ , a volunteer discount on our fabulous retail and as much free tea or coffee as you can drink and regular familiarization trips to experience activites and attractions and accommodation providers

Requirements:

We are a Travel and Tourism Information Centre and need volunteers with a smile to meet and greet our customers. If you would like to help us because you are retired with some spare time or you are just starting out and would like to gain work experience in Tourism and skills to add to your CV ..... we would love to meet you!

Time commitment:

We require volunteers from 10 to 1pm on Monday morning and Wednesday mornings
