Visual Merchandiser Senior Retail Assistant

The Country Providore is a boutique store, selling a range homewares, giftware’s and artisan foods. We are so proud to stock some of New Zealand's favourite brands such as Saben, Citta, Ashely + Co plus more. We are located in the heart of Tamahere, right next door to the popular Punnet Eatery.

Our main goal is to offer a memorable experience to our customers– one that won’t be forgotten! We pride ourselves on being really down to earth in everything we do and that’s reflected in our product offering, visual displays and outstanding customer service.

As a visual merchandiser and senior sales assistant, you will have full responsibility in making the store look its absolute best, creating beautiful and inspiring displays as well as ensuring all the products are represented on the floor.

Being able to deliver exceptional service while juggling the merchandising will be a breeze! Attention to detail will be second nature to you and you will possess a solid understanding of how a busy store operates. Your creative skills will show through in your visual merchandising. Throughout the busy months you will be flexible to adapt to new products arriving daily, and take on extra hours as required. You must be an excellent multi-tasker and be able to look at the business from a big picture view.

Tasks & Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for creating inspiring and beautiful displays 
• Displaying new stock out on the floor 
• Ensuring all brands/products are represented on the floor 
• Drive sales while constantly maintaining a high level of customer service 
• Upselling through high product knowledge 
• Creating ideas to increase sales and profit 
• Ensure the store is clean, tidy, and fresh at all times 
• Keep in line with heath and safety standards 

Details of the role:

• 20-40 hours per week (can be flexible for the right person)
• Days of work can be negotiable
• Visual merchandising and customer service experience is essential
