• 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday

J J Niven Engineering is a Palmerston North based mechanical engineering company.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Storeperson / Labourer to assist our Engineers. This role is essential to the efficiency of the workshop and there will be opportunities to develop a wide variety of skills over time.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Packaging / organizing freight
• Loading / unloading of trucks & completing paperwork
• Pickups and deliveries
• Checking stock levels
• Maintain a clean and tidy workshop and yard
• Misc engineering tasks including cutting steel, vehicle checks etc.

Key skills required for this role include:

• A current Forklift licence
• Drivers licence (able to drive manual)
• Good attention to detail to complete the paperwork that comes with deliveries
• Have good health and are physically fit
• Clean criminal history
• An engineering interest and spray painting skills would be beneficial

Hours of work are 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday with occasional overtime.
