Warehouse Storeperson & Reach

This Warehouse Store person role is a fantastic opportunity to join the leading distributor of chemical products within the building industry. As the Warehouse Store person you will assist the Manager with all warehouse duties with the opportunity to progress into the supervisor role over your employment as the business grows in Christchurch.

With branches in Auckland, Wellington and now Christchurch, they have partnered with ALH to secure a Warehouse Store person.
  
Duties and Responsibilities

• Check inwards and outwards goods for correct quantity and ensure in good condition, alert staff and record any damaged, missing or faulty goods
• All inwards goods labeled and put away into their correct location in the warehouse
• Safe unloading of trucks and containers
• Re-palletising inward goods when necessary so they can be put away in racking when required
• Re-labelling imported product when required
• Ensure that pallets are returned to our suppliers on a timely basis
• Accurately pick and efficiently dispatch all orders with checking before being dispatched
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with Customers, third party carriers, courier companies and freight forwarders to uphold their brand reputation and Code of Ethics

You will have:

• Forklift License with a minimum 2 years' experience. Must be able to operate reach.
• Strong business/customer relationship skills with the ability to understand their needs and attitudes and address complaints or concerns directly
• Experience with managing a warehouse and its inventory
• Inwards and outwards goods experience
• Capacity to work effectively in a team environment and the ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks.
• Basic Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
• Hold an MPI accredited person certificate
• Hold a DG certification for chemical distribution
