Warehouse Supervisor (fixed term position)

Purpose of the Role

This is a 12 month fixed term position that covers maternity leave as Warehouse Supervisor for the next 7 months.  Following this the role will transition into a senior individual contributor position for the following 5 months where it will focus on continuous improvement project opportunities within the warehouse following an up coming facilities location move. 

As the Warehouse Supervisor not only will you be pivotal in leading, inspiring and developing a small team of people, you will also be part of a unique opportunity to lead the smooth transition of our current warehouse to our new Rosedale office and warehouse location!  Your belief in the power of great teamwork, your energy to drive a continuous improvement mindset and your philosophy in leading by example will help ensure this seamless move - and over and above this you, of course, will be hands on supervising the day-to-day operation to ensure accuracy and quality in all inbound, outbound and inventory management. 

About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• experience in warehouse supervision and stock control/inventory management, including administrative functions, operations, and stakeholder management.
• proven leadership skills and getting the best from people.
• strong in time management, planning and organisational skills.
• ability to work under pressure and enjoy multitasking.
• outstanding customer service skills
• excellent (written and verbal) communication and interpersonal skills.
• practical experience on WMS and Microsoft Office products, including excel.
• physically fit and able. I.e., lifting 25 kg in weight
• competence operating a fork hoist, including current FH licence and OSH certificate.
• preferably a tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent, and MPI accredited; and,
• ability to work overtime, weekends, or outside of normal working hours if required. (Normal warehouse hours being 7.30 am to 4.00 pm)

You also have a continuous improvement mindset with familiarity in applying DIFOTIS and managing ISO 9001/2015 systems.
