Warehouse & Technical Sales Support

We operate across Australia and New Zealand and are looking for an all rounder to manage our daily warehouse function in our Auckland facility, joining a team of 6 employees.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager located in Head Office Sydney, you will work autonomously to ensure the seamless daily operations of our small facility, assuming full responsibility of the stock in & out, through a maintained, organized and efficient warehouse; additionally you will use your mechanical aptitude to provide technical support to sales and service teams and attend to customer walk-in's.  

Given the nature of this small branch, this role will suit someone who enjoys doing a bit of everything and is happy to support where needed. You will have WH or storeman experience, have a technical background or mechanical aptitude and have the physical ability to upkeep the facility. You are someone who doesn’t mind working alone, can have the professional attitude to take initiative and be a great team player!

Duties include

• Inventory control of stock in and out 
• Unloading and loading of trucks using onsite forklift
• De-crating of machines and preparing machines for delivery
• Pack orders according to Tennant’s packing procedures; create consignment notes
• Quality control and administration tasks
• General housekeeping including maintenance, pallet removal and forklift servicing 
• Support repair work and provide technical support when required
• Delivery and demo of machines when required 
• Assist with cycle count and stock take 
• Support and implement safety initiatives 
• Handle building maintenance tasks, pallet removal and forklift servicing contracts
• Take calls and assist customers when required

Skills & experience

• Previous warehouse experience within a similar environment
• A valid forklift license & driver’s license
• Ability to work autonomously and motivated to maintain a clean, organized warehouse
• Proficient with Microsoft office applications
• Great communication and organizational skills
• Mechanical aptitude and detail orientated
• Capable of managing logistic and inventory software advantageous 
• Previous knowledge or experience of safe work practices
