About the Company:

Our Albany branch is seeking a Warehouse Trade Assistant to join our team. This full-time, permanent position includes flexible hours, where Saturdays and Sundays are a must. The role involves: 

  • Picking and packing orders and stock transfers to customers promptly. 
  • Forklift/Reach operation. 
  • Assist in accurately counting stock during cycle counts and annual stock takes. 
  • Assist in conducting Bin Audits to maintain the accuracy of physical stock locations to computer records. 
  • Contribute to achieving Branch targets and service levels for internal and external partners. 
  • Create a positive, friendly, and helpful atmosphere for the trade.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is delivered.
  • Ensure all operational and administrative tasks are performed within policy guidelines or as requested from time to time.
  • Ensure orders for stock and non-inventory items are appropriate and that adequate stock levels are always maintained.
  • Ensure the Trade area remains tidy and attractive.
  • Ensure the Manager is kept informed of Warehouse and Trade performance and issues.
  • Ensures business is conducted in line with company policies and procedures. - The postholder will also be able to undertake sales consultations with retail customers in line with the sales process.
  • Any other tasks as required by the Branch/Trade Manager from time to time.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Must be physically fit and be able to lift to 25kgs. 
  • You must have a forklift/reach license or be willing to get a forklift/reach license. 
  • Ensure all Health & Safety standards are always maintained.
  • Great communication skills
  • Your transport to get to and from work on time.
  • Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • No criminal convictions, past, present, or pending
  • Have two work-related referees we can contact if you’re successful!
  • You MUST be living in New Zealand and be eligible to work full-time to apply for this
    position
