Water Treatment Pipe Fitter (Plastics)

With a lot of projects in the pipeline GWS is looking for a motivated hardworking member to join our experienced team.  Grossart Water Solutions (GWS) was established in 2016 specialising in commercial and industrial water treatment and filtration systems. From upgrading aquatics centers, building chemical dosing systems for the F&B market to building water treatment plants, our work is diverse and challenging providing you with plenty of scope and variety and challenges everyday.

We are looking for a suitably qualified leading hand with relevant experiences within these industries to join our team installing water treatment,  commercial pools, filtration equipment throughout New Zealand.

The ideal candidate would have experience within either the water/wastewater treatment sector or mechanical fitting industry.  You will need to have excellent communication, and technical skills. 

  Responsibilities:

• Sound understanding of pumping and filtration systems
• Interpreting and thoroughly understanding drawings and specifications to determine plumbing layouts, systems and materials required.
• Coordinate activities with other trades/staff to ensure efficient completion of all projects.
• Setting out and install cast in and in-ground pipe work.
• Identify required tools and specialised equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair water treatment equipment, pipe work and controls.
• Competent in completing pipe systems and fitting. HDPE CPVC PVC PPR/H Pressfit systems are all used regularly on projects
• General adherence to requirements for Quality, Safety, Productivity, Site Maintenance, and organisation
• Work independently around NZ

To be considered for this role candidates ideally hold the following:

• Preferably have a trade qualification desirable but not essential if candidate possesses appropriate industry experience.
• Leadership abilities and able to understand instruction.
• Ability to work throughout New Zealand as and when required.
• Good communication and people management skills
• Appropriate full New Zealand drivers’ licence
• Good time management skills and the proven ability to work to deadlines.
• Commitment to develop knowledge and skills in utilising company job management systems.
• Good command of the English language
• A strong understanding of New Zealand’s Health and Safety  requirements
• A “Can-Do” attitude that can adapt and solve issues on site
