Welder / Fabricator

We are looking for 2 experienced Welders/Fabricators to start asap. Work lined up until December with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail and can confidently work from plans through to a finished product.

What We Offer

• $30–$38 per hour, depending on experience and skill level

• Usually finishing around 3:00pm – great for school pick-up

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans and drawings for production builds
  


• Select right tools, materials and gas settings/ratios for the job
  


• Prepare metals and work surfaces for welding and fabrication
  


• Measure, cut and drill materials according to specifications
  


• MIG weld (mild steel) and fabricate components
  


• Completed work accurately and to a high standard
  

About You

• 2–3+ years of MIG welding experience, preferably in fabrication
  


• Ideally experience with mild steel
  


• Strong ability to read and interpret plans/drawings
  


• Able to work independently and without constant supervision
  


• Previous truck body, vehicle fabrication or similar fabrication experience would be an advantage
  


• Reliable and own transportation
  


• Pass drug test and criminal record check
  


• Right to work in New Zealand
