We have an exciting vacancy for Grocery Supervisor, who will take a key position in our Dry Goods team. You should be passionate about retail, motivated to engage with customers and take initiative to help where needed. Your daily tasks will be to support the Duty Manager to help ensure the department is running efficiently.

Reporting to the Grocery Manager your key responsibilities include:

- Maintain a good level of communication with customers  and ensure that customers are served in a friendly efficient manner

- Filling and maintaining the presentation of stock over the Dry Good Departments. These include Frozen Foods, Chilled Foods, Beer and Wine, General Merchandise and Grocery.

- Working cooperatively in a team environment and adhering to all Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements.  

T o be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria:

• The successful applicants will work either full time 42.5 hours per week Sunday to Thursday in the Dry Goods departments between the hours of 1pm and 10pm.
• The departments of Dry Goods are Chilled Foods, Frozen Foods, Grocery and the Liquor department. You will be asked to work in these areas but have a focus on one particular area most of the time.
• Demonstrate a strong customer focus and competently deal with customer queries and communicate with customers by taking them to the product if they ask for something.
• Work in a fast-paced team environment and be self motivated and show initiative.
• Consistently maintain a high standard of housekeeping in your Department.

One year + experience in a supermarket or retail is an advantage but not necessary and training will be provided.  This position is permanent full time and your roster will be discussed with the successful applicant. You must have permanent residency in New Zealand or be a NZ or Australian citizen to apply for this job.
