We are looking for a person to join our passionate team in our Westhaven Marine Store.
We are a one stop shop for all things Boating, Sailing & Fishing  & pride ourselves on assisting customers with their enquiries We are seeking an enthusiastic sales professional who is passionate about outdoors & marine activity Role: Sales Associate 
we have 3 areas Fishing / Clothing / Chandlery - you can pick your prefrence or be general all over 
Your primary focus will be to maintain & sell the products within this department, advise all levels of fisherman, spool up fishing reels and make combo packages with further opportunity to gain more responsibility overtime. You will also need to be flexible assisting throughout the store when necessary. Skills Attributes required

• Eager/willingness to accept & meet challenges.  We need an individual who can use their initiative to tackle challenges with a can-do attitude
• Excellent communication/customer service skills.  We require the sales team to interact with customers in a friendly & professional manner
• Problem solving.  Customers have a wide variety of needs and it will be your job to help them find a solution to the best of your abilities
• Organized and tidy. A large part of this role is maintaining the stores presentation & cleanliness at all times. A keen eye for detail & ability to keep on top of routine tasks is essential
• Eagerness to learn.  In order to provide a top level service to our customers education on the large range of products we stock in store will be given through training & on the job experience
• Interest in the marine industry. Both our team & our customers share a passion for being out on & around the water. Interest in marine activities & learning about marine products is necessary

A general knowledge of boating / fishing / watersports is required for this role as you will build on your own knowledge base daily with customers
Have you grown up or recently found an interest in boating / fishing?Both part time & full time positions available - Must be available to work a flexible roster inc weekend days. If you have organized all of your classes to either morning or afternoon classes then we can look at doing half days (catch a bus from here 10-15min leave your car here for free parking)Must hold NZ working rights & be living in New Zealand.
