Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

This position for an Academic Staff Member (ASM) within the Business Team involves teaching our undergraduate Business courses. As an ASM within this team, you will be required to teach in the classroom and tutor students; research, review, and update resources and classroom materials; set and mark assessments and enter results; assist with the recruitment and care of students; and actively participate in the team and faculty environment.

The role will be based at our Rotorua or Tauranga campus at Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga, reporting to the Academic Leader, and will be responsible for: 

  • Delivery across our suite of programmes which includes the Diploma in Business Studies and our Bachelor of Applied Management.
  • Providing leadership in student management
  • Developing, planning and implementing student assessment, courses and resource material
  • Monitoring student progress and results and providing timely and accurate advice and support as required 
  • Planning and timetabling for the programme as well as assisting with recruitment

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Degree in a relavant field or
  • At least 5+ years’ work experience in a relevant field 
  • AdultTeaching qualification (preferred)
  • Importantly you will be able to demonstrate strong alignment and commitment to our Toi Ohomai Values.
