FMG currently has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join our high performing Financial Management team as an Assistant Accountant!

Reporting to the Senior Financial & Investment Accountant, you'll be responsible for our daily receipting, monthly journals, and bank reconciliations. You'll be based in our Wellington office and will be tasked with ensuring we meet our external filing obligations with the Earthquake Commission and Fire and Emergency New Zealand. You'll also provide accounting support to the team when required. This really is a great opportunity to further enhance your accounting experience and work in a supportive team environment!

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be a highly organised individual with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills , as well as the ability to work in a team environment
• Hold an Accounting Degree and will have started your CA (or be enrolled to begin)
• Have intermediate Excel skills, and if you have previous experience in using the TechnologyOne finance system - that's a bonus! (but not essential) .
