Job Description - Bivacco Senior Chef De Partie & Pizza Chef

The Venue
Located in the heart of the Viaduct with incredible views in possibly the best spot in the city. A place for everyone serving hand-made pasta, seafood and dishes from Italy using the best ingredients along with great drinks that work whether the sun is out or the sun has set. Make your mark in the Auckland hospitality scene at one of the busiest restaurants in the city. 
The Opportunity 
We have an opportunity for experienced hospitality professionals to step into the roles of a Senior  Chef De Partie and Pizza Chef! Ideally you will have 2 years experience in a comparable role, level 4 or equivalent cookery qualification, the ability to work well under pressure, the flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests!
As a Senior Chef De Partie you would be running a busy grill section, so a very strong hotline experience is needed.
As a Pizza Chef, you must be experienced in hand stretching and baking pizzas in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will be responsible for:  

  • The operation of your appointed kitchen section
  • Quality execution of all food offerings
  • Assisting in the execution of stock management including, ordering, recepting, storing, rotation, portion control and wastage 
  • Meeting and exceeding Savor standards of quality and consistency 
  • Adhering to health and safety, food control plan, and company policies
  • Guiding junior staff members 
  • Adhering to tasks as requested by the Head Chef and senior team member
