Clinical Innovation Manager

About the role:
Work Monday to Friday for this is a leading private clinic for adult cancer patients. The team specialise in the care of patients requiring cancer treatment with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antibody therapy, hormone therapy and more targeted therapies. You will be based in Central Auckland with some travel required to clinics. Reporting in to the GM you will have 10 direct reports with the purpose of the role to provide
strong clinical operational leadership, ensuring a high standard of patient care across the wider facilty within oncology. It is a great mix of people and operational management and a newly created role to really make your own.

What you have to do:

Provide operational, professional and clinical leadership of all nursing staff

Ensure patient care is delivered to high standard and put the relevant support in place to support this

Audit and compliance of all policies and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose

Ensure clinical strategies, policies and practices are effective to achieving organisational goals

Team leadership, guidance, support and mentorship

Identify and develop strategies that improve patient outcomes

Skills and Experience:

Have a background in oncology with strong understanding of patient needs

Experience within a commercial setting including people management

Strong communication skills being able to effectively communicate with a wide range of people and have the ability to influence

Experience in areas such as healthcare innovation, commercialisation and clinical experience (oncology preferred)

Registration with the NZNC would be preferred but isn’t essential

Strong relationship management skills with the ability to educate, mentor and grow a team
