Job Description - Cost Manager - Asset Management

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an individual passionate about driving strategic asset management and cost control. In the role you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients across diverse sectors to optimize their asset strategies and financial outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with our clients, offering advice and implementing tailored asset management plans. Your responsibilities will encompass technical analysis, and commercial oversight of asset management contracts, ensuring successful outcomes for clients.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The role includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Assist with developing and implementing asset management strategies for diverse client portfolios. 
  • Lead project delivery and ensure adherence to asset management standards. 
  • Provide cost and commercial guidance on asset acquisition, operation, renewal, and disposal decisions. 
  • Conduct maintenance planning and procurement activities. 
  • Analyse asset strategy requirements, assessing costs, risks, and benefits.
  • Prepare project proposals, engage stakeholders, and manage project tasks efficiently. 
  • Negotiate contracts and implement cost control procedures to ensure profitability. 

Requirements

  • Preferably a background in quantity surveying or cost management.
  • Extensive experience in contract management, procurement, and financial analysis. 
  • Strong asset, construction or project management background or a related field. 
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing cost management strategies. 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse costs, risks, and benefits for informed decision-making. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
