Job Description

Talley's Blenheim are seeking a passionate Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team onsite, located 10 minutes from Central Blenheim, where we currently process mussels and vegetables.

Reporting to the Site Manager (with 'dotted line' to Talley's Ltd Health & Safety Manager), you will be responsible for taking the lead in our site Health and Safety.

This will be a hands-on role where your primary focus will be on the site floor influencing and engaging the team by demonstrating safe work practices and driving everyone else to do the same, while providing them with advice and direction on health and safety matters.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a Health and Safety or similar role
• ICAM Training (preferred but training can be provided)
• Experience completing JSA's and Risk Assessments
• Excellent record keeping and organisational abilities
• The ability to pro-actively encourage participation in Health and Safety and be able to think on their feet
• The ability to multi task in a high pressure environment
