Te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau offer an exciting opportunity to join Te Waka Tai-rangawhenua in the Parks and Community Facilitiesdepartment. As the Kaihautu Tai-ranga-whenua, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the Māori outcomes strategy for Te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau. You'll lead the Te Waka Tai-ranga-whenua unit, ensuring our team is motivated and trained to deliver exceptional results. Your strategic oversight will guarantee that all departmental initiatives retain a Māori lens and focus.

He kōrero mōu | About youYou possess a good command of Te Reo Māori and knowledge of tikanga and kawa Māori in a diverse range of settings. Your lived experience within Te Ao Māori or Te Taiao enriches the work with unique insights and perspectives. Your ability to build strong relationships and engage in strategic thinking and bring kaupapa to life, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and Māori outcomes strategy.With a relevant Tertiary Degree and 10-12 years’ senior experience in cross-sector roles, you embody a deep understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi settlement and local government obligations.
