Job Description - Manager

With over 50 years of experience in the Waikato, Schick Civil Construction is a reputable company with an exciting vision. With a track record of delivering high quality and dependable solutions, we are committed to excellence in every aspect of our work. We are now looking for a Roading Divisional Manager to leverage off this experience and become a key part of our story. You will oversee all day-to-day operations of the roading division including the management of employees, project compliance and financial performance. You will have a strong background in civil engineering and will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. You will be a natural people leader, with a proven ability to think strategically and you will have a passion for delivering results. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage road construction projects from initiation through to completion • Supervise, mentor and provide guidance to the roading team • Develop project plans, schedules and budgets including resource allocation • Monitor project progress against goals and objectives • Ensure compliance including industry standards and company policies • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and excellence within the roading team To be successful in this role you will have: • Proven experience in road construction and management • A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a relevant industry qualification • Strong knowledge of road construction methods including materials and specifications • The ability to confidently manage multiple projects at the same time • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills • The ability to get the most out of your team by leading and mentoring effectively • A willingness to learn from others and improve every day On offer: • A competitive salary and benefits package • Ongoing support and career development opportunities • The chance to work on exciting projects that make a positive impact within our communities • A varied and fast paced role • A dynamic team with a friendly and down-to-earth culture At Schick, we take pride in being an employer that values and prioritizes the wellbeing of our team.
