A unique opportunity has presented itself for a Marketing Graphic Designer to join our marketing team on a part-time, 6 month fixed-term contract. As part of our dynamic team, you will report directly to our Head of Marketing.

Based in our Manukau Support Office and working within a close-knit team of marketing professionals, you will be joining a dedicated team who support our passionate about our BestStart brand.

About the Role:

You'll play a crucial role in supporting both our marketing team and internal functions, focusing on crafting compelling marketing collateral and assets for signage, advertising, and internal communications. Your contributions will be instrumental in executing BestStart's marketing and communication strategies. 

Here’s what you’ll do: 

• Assist Brand Lead with guardianship of BestStart, Employer and internal brands Collaborate, ensuring it meets brand guidelines. 
• Design assets, collateral and or motion graphics and prepare artwork as briefed for use in print, digital and other channels. 
• Regular collaboration with the Brand Lead, other internal stakeholders, or external agencies such as videographers as required.
• Collaborate with the internal comms lead on requirements.
• Maintain high personal standards for yourself and as a representative of the Organisation

This position is ideally working 30 hours per week, but we can be flexible for the right applicant. 

Role Requirements:

Our successful candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills, capable of both sharing ideas and receiving constructive feedback on design work, as well as the technical understanding to ensure approved artwork is print ready. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects) is required, along with familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Google Web Designer and motion graphics is preferred. You will show creative flair and versatility in your design while still remaining within brand guidelines.

As well as:

• Tertiary qualified in design or related field or 4-5 years experience in a similar role.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Strong can-do internal customer mindset.
• Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• An understanding of the ECE sector (or young children) would be an advantage but not essential.
