We have an opportunity within our small but focussed People and Culture team based on our Manawatū campus.
Working closely with the units based across our region (Manawatū, Wairarapa, Horowhenua and Whanganui) you will deliver core people and culture functions such as employment relations, kaimahi (employee) experience, recruitment, remuneration etc. You will have the confidence to work autonomously while providing robust and timely advice to our leaders and kaimahi.
You will have experience in some or all people functions, e.g. recruitment activities, employment relations case management, change management or capability and training support. UCOL will give you plenty of variety and you will have the opportunity to grow your HR skills and capabilities within a dedicated team.
While our preference would be for a full-time person, we will consider some flexibility in working hours.

Primarily based on our Manawatu campus, this role is required to travel across our rohe (region), from Whanganui, Wairarapa and to the Horowhenua. Nestled in the heart of the city, close to cafes, bus stops and The Square is UCOLs Palmerston North campus. Named ‘Rangitane tikaraina ki te Mataurange’ by Rangitane, its name translates in part to the ‘straight pathway to education’
