Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and results driven  Project Commercial Manager  to join our dynamic construction team at our Half Moon Bay  site!

This role is responsible for leading the project team of Quantity Surveyors managing all costs associated with the assigned construction projects, from agreed feasibility budget through to the final account settlement.

To be successful in this role you will need to possess motivating and strong leadership and relationship management capabilities. You will be collaborative, a keen negotiator and problem solver, with an eye for detail and the ability to complete projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Who/what are we looking for?

• Extensive Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying experience, approximately 10 to 15 years, dealing with commercial builds, civil & infrastructure works
• Experience leading own project commercially with a team of QS staff
• Strong capability in identifying risks and issues with trades in the build programme and developing strategies to manage and mitigate these.
• A strong understanding of construction law
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification. Preferably BSc Quantity Surveying
• An RICS member or working towards this
• Experience working with a Tier one or two main contractor is preferred (ideally design and build) on commercial projects ranging from $100M to $400M
• Proactive innovator who always looks for continuous improvement
• Positive "can do" attitude and a team player
