The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
We are seeking a new Treasurer to join the leadership team reporting to the Group Financial Controller in Finance. This role is pivotal in managing the University’s cash flows, foreign exchange, and funds management, across a diverse portfolio.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Treasury leader to make a lasting impact at the university by building on our already robust processes whilst supporting our established and respected team.

About you | He kōrero mōu
To be successful in this position you will be CA or CPA qualified or hold a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, economics or similar. You will need to demonstrate a well-developed knowledge and understanding of financial management and investment principals and the application of finance and accounting methodology to a large diverse organisation. This is a specialist role and will require you to have prior experience in the Treasury function within the banking sector or a large commercial operation. You may also come from a strong accounting and finance background and able to point to your practical Treasury expertise gained, for example, as a Treasury Accountant or Analyst and looking to step up to a Treasurer role.
Balancing strong results orientation with superior relationship management skills, you will exhibit excellent analytical skills, have a robust and rigorous approach to decision making and be a proactive and detail focused professional.
