Job Description - Wholesale Sales Manager NZ

Are you a self-driven, motivated people and relationship manager with sound experience within the NZ tyre or automotive industry? Due to a recent retirement we are now on the hunt for a seasoned Wholesale Sales Manager to join us at our National Support Office in Ellerslie.

About the Role

This is a Senior role within our National Support Office in Ellerslie that will see you responsible for the following:

  • Managing and achieving the wholesale budget (Revenue/Volume/Gross Profit) for consumer tyre products across our Family Channel dealerships, other tyre resellers and new vehicle franchise networks
  • Optimising the performance of a team of Regional Wholesale Managers, leading them to achieve sales success and excellence.
  • Developing and identifying new opportunities for business growth
  • Relationship management of dealers, new vehicle franchises and wholesale clients
  • Effectively administering the defined business strategy across the wholesale market,
  • Implementation and management of pricing strategies
  • Initiation and maintenance of Dealer Incentive and Loyalty Programmes

To be successful you will need:

  • Proven experience managing a sales team and succeeding business targets.
  • The ability to confidently build and maintain strong relationships with high level internal and external business stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen, with exposure to P&L reports
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good computer literacy, with previous SAP and Salesforce CRM experience preferred.
  • Ideally a tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing with a blend of industry specific knowledge, sales techniques and leadership skills along with a thorough understanding of Salesforce CRM to track customer interactions, manage leads and analyze sales data.
  • To be willing to travel as and when required
