Engineering Hardware Test Intern

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development and improvement of internal tools, solutions and systems used by Veriphi in its development of laser intravenous drug analysis solutions. Tackle technical challenges, provide suggestions, and participate in group problem solving.  Support the development, improvement and set up of testing environments and solutions.

i.    Veriphi’s proprietary R&D hardware utilizes a variety of testing tools. These need to be integrated into a common hardware testing platform. This will provide the following:
•    Reliability
•    Scalability
•    Robustness
•    New features
•    New functionality

This will involve working with electronics, software, firmware, mechanical, 3D printing and associated design & testing tools
 
ii.    Project - develop a hardware test bed to be able to check for the correct functionality of Laser Modules:
•    Design the solution
•    Assemble all sub-components, bring-up and test
•    Write any firmware required
•    Test for correct operation – including integration with supporting software solutions
•    Document assembly and testing methods, steps, and results
•    Create a User Guide

KEY ATTRIBUTES
• Experience with Altium Designer, 3D printers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment (SolidWorks also desirable)
• C/C# programming experience, particularly on embedded systems
• Good understanding of digital and analogue electronics
• Hands-on, proactive, and self-motivated
• Able to work independently or in a team environment
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Experience with scientific test methods to isolate and measure desired parameters desirable
